North Star Air and Marten Falls Celebrate!
OGOKI POST – On Indigenous Peoples Day, representatives from North Star Air joined the people of Marten Falls First Nation (Ogoki) for a heartfelt day of celebration, cultural connection, and shared purpose.
The visit was marked by warm hospitality and meaningful conversations, reflecting the deepening relationship between Marten Falls and North Star Air.
As part of the day’s festivities, the North Star team served lunch for the community—firing up the grills, the popcorn machine and slushie machines all to give back in a small but symbolic gesture of unity and appreciation between North Star Air and Marten Falls.
A major highlight of the visit was the formal presentation of a $264,302 revenue-sharing cheque to the Chief and Council of Marten Falls First Nation. The funds represent the community’s share in a growing partnership built not just on business, but on mutual respect and shared prosperity.
This revenue sharing is a part of North Star Air and the companies deep commitment to its partner communities. “Partnership means more than flights,” said North Star Air. “It means shared value, shared purpose, and walking forward together.”
The event underscored the importance of Indigenous Peoples Day as a time to reflect, honour, and actively support Indigenous communities through tangible commitments and relationship-building.
