ATIKOKAN – WEATHER – A Severe Thunderstorm Watch has been issued by Environment Canada for Atikokan and Shebandowan.

Severe thunderstorm warning in effect for:
- Atikokan – Shebandowan – Quetico Park
At 5:07 a.m. CDT (5:07 a.m. EST, 6:07 a.m. EDT), Environment Canada meteorologists are tracking a severe thunderstorm capable of producing up to nickel size hail and heavy rain.
This severe thunderstorm is located 12 kilometres northeast of Cirrus Lake, moving east at 45 km/h.
Hazard: Nickel size hail and locally heavy downpours.
Locations impacted include: Atikokan, Cirrus Lake, Nym Lake, Bud Lake, Sapawe Lake and Sapawe.
