Stunt Driving Charge Follows Driver Caught Speeding at 70 km/h over Limit

THUNDER BAY – Thunder Bay Police Service report that a motorist faces a charge of Stunt Driving after police observed her travelling nearly 70 km/h above the posted speed limit.

Thunder Bay Police Service officers with the Traffic Unit were conducting general traffic enforcement along Dawson Road near Sherwood Drive just before 2:20 pm on Tuesday, September 1, 2020.

Police report that officers observed a vehicle travelling along Dawson Road at 119 km/h. The posted maximum speed limit for this stretch of roadway was 50 km/h.

The driver, a 22-year-old female, was issued a seven-day roadside suspension and her vehicle was impounded.
