Winnipeg – Police Lay Charges of Sexual Exploitation Against Two

WINNIPEG – On December 19, 2019, members of the Winnipeg Police Counter Exploitation Unit entered into an investigation regarding allegations of sexual exploitation occurring at a massage business located in the 800 block of Notre Dame Avenue.

Evidence from past and current employees was obtained and on January 26, 2020 investigators obtained a search warrant for the business.

On January 28, 2020, members of the Counter Exploitation Unit and Central District General Patrol executed the search warrant.
A 48-year-old adult male was arrested for
• Material Benefit from Sexual Services X3
• Possession of Proceeds of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000
• Procuring Person to Provide Sexual Services X4
A 41-year-old female was arrested for
• Advertising Sexual Services
• Assault
• Material Benefit from Sexual Services X3
• Possession of Proceeds of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000
• Procuring Person to Provide Sexual Services X4

Both have been released on a Promise to Appear.

Police are requesting anyone who feels they may have been a victim of this type of exploitation to contact police or crime stoppers at 786-TIPS (786-8477). We will remain committed to providing victim services.
