THUNDER BAY – SPORTS – The Lakehead Thunderwolves women’s volleyball team fell 3-0 to the Western Mustangs in the second of two back-to-back games at the C.J. Sanders Fieldhouse Sunday afternoon.
With Sunday’s loss, the Thunderwolves are now 0-6 this season.
“Another good day in the development of a young team. Both teams played much cleaner today and made good adjustments,” said head coach Craig Barclay.
“Playing the games continues to help in the growth and development of our team.”
The Mustangs took the first set 25-20 and the second set 25-17. In the must win the third set the Thunderwolves battled to keep the game going but ultimately fell short as Western won it 25-23.
“We continue to challenge ourselves to improve and get better every day and that is happening,” said Barclay.
“We are looking forward to our next weekend match.”
 The Thunderwolves are looking forward to their next match against the Nipissing Lakers next Saturday. First serve is set to be at 7:00 p.m. at the C.J. Sanders Fieldhouse.
