THUNDER BAY – ABORIGINAL – Ontario Regional Chief Stan Beardy is recognizing the efforts put forth by former National Chief Shawn A-in-chut Atleo during his time as leader of the Assembly of First Nations (AFN).
“I would like to take this opportunity to thank A-in-chut for his dedication, his perseverance and his passion for the work he did while serving,” Regional Chief Beardy said. “It’s often very difficult work with many days away from loved ones but it’s the work that leaders have been chosen for and I want to acknowledge him and the personal sacrifices of his family and community for the time he worked to contribute to the betterment of all First Nations people.”
The Chiefs of Ontario is a political forum and a secretariat for collective decision making, action, and advocacy for the 133 First Nation communities located within the boundaries of the province of Ontario, Canada.
