TORONTO – The Ontario Progressive Conservative Party has filed a statement of defense in the law suit brought against the PC Party, leader Tim Hudak and PC MPP Lisa Macleod by Premier Kathleen Wynne.
“Today, we’re responding to Kathleen Wynne’s lawsuit with our own statement of defence.
Kathleen Wynne would have you believe her career in government started one year ago.
But our statement of defence is very clear on the facts.
It shows a clear timeline of the $1.1 billion gas plant scandal, how Kathleen Wynne was intimately involved in the campaign that cancelled those gas plants, and how she has worked hard to cover the whole thing up.
Since Kathleen Wynne refuses to take this matter seriously, we will continue to stand up for taxpayers who paid for this scandal, by vigorously defending ourselves against her baseless accusations.
Since the Premier won’t call a judicial inquiry, we’ll do whatever it takes to pursue the facts about her role in the scandal, up to and including putting her under oath.”
