FORT WILLIAM FIRST NATION – Flooding on Fort William First Nation has impacted the water plant for the community. 

Councillor Wyatt Bannon shares, “Due to the overwhelming rain our pumping stations at Anemki are at max capacity”.

“We are asking that those living on Back street, Mission Road Anemki Drive, Wolf Court, Wolf Street, Fox Court and Lynx Court not to use their water unnecessarily”.

Chief Georjann Morriseau shares, “We are concerned about the state of our community. We are working quickly and diligently to address the state of affairs”.

The Fort William First Nation Facebook page is offering updates for both community members on the First Nation as well as for people from outside the community.
