Kenora OPP Laid 46 Charges over Thanksgiving Weekend

Kenora – NEWS – The Kenora Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to 245 calls over the weekend between Friday October 8, 2021 and Monday October 12, 2021.

Police responded to a variety of calls on the weekend and laid 46 charges under the Criminal Code, Controlled Drugs and Substances Act, the Compulsory Automobile Insurance Act and the Highway Traffic Act.

Some of the calls Police attended were;

  • 5 Assault
  • 7 Ambulance Assist
  • 8 Animal Complaint
  • 5 Attempt or Threat of Suicide
  • 5 Domestic Dispute
  • 3 Impaired/over 80
  • 8 Liquor Licence Act
  • 6 Missing Person
  • 12 Traffic Complaints
  • 5 Theft
  • 9 Motor Vehicle Collision
  • 15 Police Assistance
  • 6 Trouble with Youth
  • 8 Unwanted Person
