1. Octopuses Have Three Hearts — and They Stop One to Swim

Yes, you read that correctly. An octopus has three hearts: two pump blood to the gills, and one pumps it to the rest of the body. But here’s the twist — when they swim, the heart that circulates blood to the body stops beating. No wonder they prefer crawling!

2. Bananas Are Technically Berries, but Strawberries Are Not

3. Sharks Are Older Than Trees

Fossil records show that sharks have been around for over 400 million years, while trees didn’t show up until about 350 million years ago. That means sharks were swimming Earth’s oceans 50 million years before the first tree rooted into the ground.

4. The First Reports on the D-Day Landings was on Nazi German Radio

The first media reports of the Allied invasion of Nazi Fortress Europa was by German radio. It was several hours before Allied military confirmed the reports of the Invasion – D-Day to media.

Exoplanet WASP-76b, located about 640 light-years from Earth, is a gas giant where the daytime temperatures soar above 2,400°C — hot enough to vaporize metals. At night, that metal vapor condenses into iron rain. It’s like science fiction… except it’s real.
