Thunder Bay — May 18, 2025 – Thunder Bay Police are investigating a weapons-related incident that unfolded Sunday afternoon at the Intercity Shopping Centre.

Primary Response officers were dispatched to the mall’s food court area shortly after 4 p.m. on May 18 following reports of a disturbance involving a weapon.

Upon arrival, officers quickly secured the scene and took control of the situation. One individual was transported to the hospital for treatment and assessment. The extent of their injuries has not yet been disclosed.

Multiple individuals were taken into custody at the scene. Police have confirmed that there is no ongoing threat to public safety.
