Weapons Incident on Amelia Street Leads to Arrest of Two Thunder Bay Men

THUNDER BAY – CRIME REPORT – Two men are facing multiple charges following a violent altercation involving weapons in Thunder Bay’s Westfort neighbourhood.

Thunder Bay Police Service officers responded to reports of a weapons incident on the 200 block of Amelia Street West during the afternoon of Friday, May 9, 2025.

Police say the confrontation escalated into a physical fight where both individuals brandished weapons, with one suspect reportedly in possession of an apparent firearm.

Responding officers quickly contained the area and arrested both individuals without further incident. The suspects were transported into custody.

Charges Laid

  • Brennan LITTLEFORD, 36, of Thunder Bay, is charged with:

    • Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose

    • Assault with a Weapon

    • Pointing a Firearm

    • Possession of a Firearm or Ammunition Contrary to a Prohibition Order

  • Shawn BEHRENS, 44, of Thunder Bay, is charged with:

    • Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose

    • Assault with a Weapon

    • Failure to Comply with a Probation Order

Both men made court appearances and have been remanded into custody pending future court dates.
