THUNDER BAY – NEWS – Shelter House has a new Executive Director.

The Board of Directors of Shelter House Thunder Bay is pleased to announce that the search for the next Executive Director for the organization has concluded.

Wanda MacArthur, Chair of the Board announced today that Cal Rankin will be the next Executive Director of Shelter House Thunder Bay and begin his role on May 9, 2022.

“On behalf of the Board of Directors, I am looking forward to what the future will bring for Shelter House clients, staff and stakeholders under Cal’s guidance” said Board Chair Wanda MacArthur, “Cal is a compassionate leader, a community builder, a seasoned manager within complex environments and we have no doubt he will be welcomed in his return to the role of Executive Director”.

Rankin was the former Executive Director of Shelter House from 2001 to 2012. Following his departure from the organization, he served in a variety of roles for non-profit organizations such as HAGI and BISNO and most recently worked in crisis care supporting Indigenous communities.
