Thunder Bay – Sports – The Lakehead Thunderwolves women’s volleyball team will be hosting the Western Mustangs for two games this weekend at the C.J. Sanders Fieldhouse on November 9th and 10th
The Thunderwolves are 0-4 so far this season, while the Mustangs are 2-2.
“Western is a very strong and physical team. The OUA West is full of very talented teams and this will be our first games against the West division,” said head coach Craig Barclay.
“They will be strong servers and good attackers. We will have to take advantage of a few matchups and use some strong serving to keep pace with them.”
The Western women’s volleyball team went 12-5 in the 2018-19 season.
The Thunderwolves will not only be on the hunt for their first win of the season but will be looking to break a nine-game losing streak against the Mustangs.
“As always, we are looking forward to more home games this weekend,” said Barclay.
“Last weekend’s turnout was amazing and we hope to see everyone there again this weekend”
The first serve is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. both Saturday and Sunday.
