Thunder Bay Kings to Wrap Up Regular Season Play

THUNDER BAY – The Thunder Bay major and minor midget Kings will be in Blaine, Minn., this weekend to conclude regular season play in the North American Prospects Hockey League.

Game action for the major midgets begins Saturday at 3 p.m. as they take on the Colorado Springs Tigers.

Up next features another Colorado side providing the opposition as the Kings tangle with the Rocky Mountain RoughRiders at 1 p.m. Sunday before wrapping up competition against the Madison Capitols at 1:30 p.m. Monday.

As for the minor midgets, they’ll begin with CarShield AAA from St. Louis Saturday at 9:15 a.m.

Two more match-ups will be on their slate Sunday as they square off against the Sioux Falls Stampede at 9 a.m. followed by a 5 p.m. encounter with Madison’s under-16 Capitols.

They will then conclude their regular season Monday at 9:30 a.m. vs. the Arizona Bobcats.

The NAPHL All-Stars Games will also take place Saturday with Kings’ forward Michael Stubbs and defenceman Matthew Halushak to compete in the U-16 contest at 7 p.m. while blueliner Zach Fortin was selected to take part in the U-18 game at 9 p.m. ET.
