THUNDER BAY – WEATHER – Heavy rain continued overnight. Environment Canada has updated the Rainfall Warning as of 04:35AM EST.

4:35 AM EST Tuesday 29 November 2016
Rainfall warning in effect for:

  • City of Thunder Bay
  • Nipigon – Dorion
  • Kakabeka Falls

An additional 5 to 15 mm of rain is expected today.

Most areas near the Lake Superior shoreline have received 80 to 100 mm of rain through Monday and Monday night. Rain will be generally light today before tapering to scattered showers or flurries this evening.

Heavy downpours can cause flash floods and water pooling on roads. Localized flooding in low-lying areas is possible. Watch for possible washouts near rivers, creeks and culverts.
