Manitoba NDP Convention in Winnipeg

WINNIPEG – POLITICS – The Manitoba New Democrats are hosting their convention in Winnipeg today.

The Party elected former AFN National Chief Ovide Mercredi was elected the party’s new president at the convention on Saturday afternoon.

Almost 1000 delegates have registered for the convention by Saturday.

Those numbers are expected to climb today as voting for the leadership continues Sunday.
