Terror Suspects in Paris Supermarket

PARIS – UPDATED – The three people suspected in the murders of 1o journalists, 2 police officers, and wounding of ten others have been shot and killed by police as authorities took action in France today.

The two suspects at large in Paris in the Charlie Hebdo attack are reportedly holed up north east of Paris and are holding hostages. The two suspects are reportedly telling police that they won’t be taken alive and want to be martyrs. AFP is reporting that at least five hostages are being held.

08:25 EST – AFP from France is now reporting that shots have been fired and that two people are suspected shot.

09:00 EST – Update: The story is a two-part hostage taking. First, a gunman has seized hostages at a kosher supermarket in Paris as police in northern France have cornered the two Charlie Hebdo massacre suspects.

09:40 EST – Update – Charles de Gaulle airport has closed two runways to arrivals on Friday. This is to avoid interfering in the standoff between French police and two suspected gunmen at a nearby industrial estate, an airport official said.

Armed police flooded the Porte de Vincennes area of eastern Paris after the man reportedly opened fire and took up to five people hostage.

This suspect is reportedly the individual who it is said is the gunman who murdered a policewoman in Paris on Thursday.

In Dammartin-en-Goele, 35km (22 miles) north-east of Paris, the Charlie Hebdo suspects are also reported to be holding a hostage.

The murderers are inside a small printing business.

French officials are reporting that telephone contact has been made with the suspects in the deadly Charlie Hebdo shooting in Paris. who are holed up inside a printing house near Charles de Gaulle airport. Audrey Taupenas, a spokeswoman for the town of Dammartin-en-Goele, reports that officials established phone contact with the suspects in order to negotiate the safe evacuation of a school near the building where the men are cornered.
