North Star Air Expands Northern Flight Schedule

THUNDER BAY – North Star Air continues expanding services to Northern Ontario starting Sept 15th 2014.

“Expanding personal, leisure and business travel opportunities for Northern Ontario translates into more choices and flexibilities for all their passengers when it comes to their travel plans,” stated MaryEllen Thomas, Community/Public Relations for North Star Air.

Thomas added, “When planning their travels, passengers need reassurance that safety is the top priority of airline services and this is what passengers can come to expect from North Star Air. Customers expect to receive safe, on-time and reliable services and North Star Air is committed to fulfilling these customer expectations to ensure passengers the best possible travel experience.”

North Star is also introducing more Flex Flight services that are designed to inter-connect a corridor of Northern Ontario communities with Sioux Lookout and Thunder Bay.

These new services will offer people, businesses and communities more safe, affordable and reliable choices to get them to and from their destinations. A special introductory fare is also being offered for a limited time period of 2 weeks.

One of the two new routes will connect Cat Lake, Bearskin Lake, Kitchenuhmaykoosib Inninuwug (Big Trout Lake) , Wapekeka and Kasabonika, with Sioux Lookout and Thunder Bay.

The other route will connect Neskantaga (Lansdowne), Nibinamik (Summer Beaver), Wunnumin Lake and Kingfisher Lake with Thunder Bay.

This announcement comes in addition to the recent launch of another new route that connects Sachigo Lake, Muskrat Dam and Weagamow Lake (Round Lake) with Sioux Lookout and Thunder Bay. This particular route also offers additional benefits to those who are traveling for personal reasons or business as they can now commute to and from these inter-connected communities within the same day making North Star Air an even more attractive option for those travelling for work or for personal reasons.

With the introduction of these news services, North Star Air has also increased the number of flights between Thunder Bay and Sioux Lookout.
