Shelby Ch’ng – Need to Do Politics Differently

THUNDER BAY – CIVIC Politics – Shelby Ch’ng is running in Northwood Ward, facing off against incumbent Mark Bentz and challenger Jim Mauro.

Ch’ng is employing a solid campaign of door-knocking, the first time candidate is sharing how over the summer she has door-knocked almost the entire ward.

Ch’ng also is using some innovative social media strategies, including a White Board Video on Youtube.

The video has had over 5000 views on Youtube.

Ch’ng says that the issue of crime in Northwood has been coming up increasingly at the doors of voters. She says that people are upset over the number of petty crimes, having their vehicles gone through, their vehicles keyed and vandalized and property crimes to their homes and property.

The deadline for all candidates to register is 2:00PM EDT today. Over the past two days, Norm Sponchia and Frank Pullia have declared for Councillor at Large, Bernice Metzler has declared in Westfort, and Jim Mauro in Northwood. Kristian Kuznak has declared in McKellar challenging incumbent Paul Pugh.
