Highway 17 Closed

KENORA – The OPP are reporting that black ice on the Trans-Canada highway between Kenora and Vermillion Bay has caused several accidents.

Fourteen transport trucks are off the roadway, according to police reports. The accident has highway closed right now, injuries are minor so far.

There is light snow falling in Kenora right now. The roadway will be closed while the roadway is cleared.

Motorists can take Highway 71 and Highway 11 From Kenora.
