THUNDER BAY – Crime – Macher Avenue fire ruled Arson. An early morning fire on March 6th, the second in a week in the area is being investigated as an arson. The  fire that occurred at a residence located at 5 Macher Ave on March 6th, 2013 has police investigating.

Thunder Bay Fire and Rescue attended the residence at approximately 9:30 p.m. to deal with the fire that was burning inside the structure. The homeowners were not present at the time of the fire.

The Office of the Fire Marshall began and investigation to determine the cause of the blaze. The Fire Inspector has determined that that fire had been deliberately set. The Thunder Bay Police were contacted and a criminal investigation into this incident has begun.
