Sault Ste Marie PoliceSAULT STE MARIE – Police in Sault Ste Marie report “20 year old Dillion Quesnel of 34 Johnson Ave. attended to the City Police station on March 11th at 5:30 pm to turn himself in on 2 outstanding fail to appear charges. It is alleged Mr.Quesnel was to attend for fingerprinting on the 21st of February and also to attend Court on the 4th of March. He failed to attend on either of those dates and as a result warrants were issued for his arrest. Mr.Quesnel will be appearing in Provincial Court on April 22nd”.

City Police charged a 14 year old youth with mischief and 6 counts of breaching conditions under the Youth Criminal Justice Act. It is alleged that on March the 7th he damaged siding and a mail box at his parents’ home. His conditions ranged from not attending classes as directed, being in possession of a controlled substance when prohibited and failing to keep the peace and be good. The youth will appear in Court on April 16th.

A 17 year old male was arrested by City Police officers on Monday night after damaging his grandparent’s apartment by smashing a television and a kitchen table. He then threatened his grandfather with a knife. The youth had been drinking at the time of the offence and no serious injuries were reported. The young person will be appearing in Court on April 16th as well.

At approximately 7 pm last night City Police officers attended to the area of the City bus terminal regarding a robbery type complaint. A 19 year old male was pushed to the ground and his wallet was stolen. The suspect male is described as being 6 foot, wearing a black, green and purple hat, a black trench coat and blue jeans and was last seen running west down Queen Street. The cash amount stolen was not known at the time of this report.
