THUNDER BAY – It started with a song. A song that shared her feelings as her mom was diagnosed with cancer. The song, posted on Youtube and shared on Facebook has over 12,000 views. Thunder Bay’s Capri Ruberto Anderson is touching hearts across the city, and beyond with her emotional words.
Last night in Thunder Bay the power of Facebook fans brought Nelly Furtado and Capri Ruberto Anderson together on stage.
Nina Ruberto shares daughter Capri’s thoughts; “Meeting Nelly was a dream come true. She said I have a natural talent and that she really loved my song. She said my lyrics were very deep and that I should continue to sing and song write. Her husband told us that ‘Hope’ made them all tear up”.
“Singing on stage in front of a packed auditorium with Nelly’s arm around me just gave me a taste of my dream. I know for sure that is what I want to do for the rest of my life!”
Capri adds, “If it were not for the Thunder Bay fans, this wouldn’t have happened. I am so grateful”.
In an exciting and sold out show at the Thunder Bay Community Auditorium the fans were on there feet dancing in their seats, singing along from the third song, the reknowned singer engaged with the local audience. Almost all of Thunder Bay’s Portuguese community came out to enjoy the show!
Gallo Foods on Red River Road treated Nelly and her band to some amazing food and treats to make them feel welcome.
For many, the highlight of the night was Capri Ruberto Anderson singing along with Nelly Furtado on stage.

Have you noticed how at public events many people capture the images on their Super Phones? Often it seems between the Iphones, Galaxy phones, and Blackberry cameras, being held up, to capture the event.
The videos are shared online, shared with friends and help capture exciting moments to enjoy later.
