Support Local and Community Radio – CILU Radio Set to Kick off 3rd Annual Fundraising Drive!

Young Giants CILUTHUNDER BAY – CILU 102.7FM aka LU Radio kicks off its third annual fund drive on Friday March 30th at 8AM. LU Radio shares, “Once again, we’ll be running for an entire week, finishing off on March 30th with our wrap up party at the Finlandia Hall in a dinner/dance setting”.

Tickets for the Dinner/Dance which features an Indian Buffet, and music from Robin Ranger and Damon Dowbak, Mark Potvin and the Potvin Horns and special guests, are limited to 150 at a price of only $15 and available at LU Radio or from Calico Coffeehouse, Norma Jean’s and LUSU.

This year will also feature a kickoff party in the form of a Sugar Shakedown at Black Pirates Pub, a 19+ $5 event featuring dance sets from our own DJ Luv, JAFO, Fabulous Dave and Miss Temperance.

We will be broadcasting live from the Thunder Bay Country Market on Saturday March 24th with Mark Potvin hosting ‘How Blue Can You Get’ directly from the market.

Fund Drive week will feature many special guests and surprises including live, in studio performances from local artists.

All funds donated go directly to helping keep Local Campus and Community radio alive in Thunder Bay and all donators will be eligible for prizes and on-air ‘shout out’s’.
