Beckwick – New Acting Tourism Manager in Thunder Bay

THUNDER BAY – The City is moving Lisa Beckwick in as the Acting Tourism Manager. Beckwick takes on the task from Paul Pepe who is taking on the task of Acting Waterfront Manager. Beckwick comes from the Human Resources department as a Staffing and Development Specialist. She holds a degree in Business Administration and is a Certified Human Resource Professional. She is also a graduate of Leadership Thunder Bay and the City’s Pathways to Leadership program.

Beckwick has gained experience in the tourism field as the former Marketing Manager for the Nor’Wester Hotel/Tournament Centre, a Coordinator for the City’s previous Community Economic Development Plan, a Board Member on the North of Superior Tourism Association and Tourism Infrastructure for Development Thunder Bay.

“Lisa will be a valuable addition to the Tourism Division,” said Greg Alexander, General Manager of Community Services. “She has a great interest in promoting Thunder Bay, and will help to develop the positive image the City holds as one of Canada’s great outdoor cities.”
