Pre-Budget Consultations to be held in Thunder Bay

technologyTHUNDER BAY – The All-Party Standing Committee on Finance and Economic Affairs will visit Thunder Bay on Wednesday January 26th as part of the 2011 Pre-Budget Consultation process, giving local residents an opportunity to share their ideas for the upcoming provincial Budget. Thunder Bay–Atikokan MPP Bill Mauro will participate throughout the day.

“We are pleased that the Committee is able to be in Thunder Bay tomorrow,” stated Thunder Bay Atikokan MPP Bill Mauro. “It’s a great opportunity for Northwestern Ontarians to have a say in the upcoming budget.”

Community organizations, local municipal leaders, and representatives from the health care, business, and forestry sectors are among those scheduled to provide feedback. The Ontario Legislative Assembly committee convenes Wednesday at the Travelodge Hotel Airlane.

Individuals who are not able to present to the Committee can send an e-mail directly to the Ministry of Finance pre-budget team at submissions@ontario.ca.
