High Winds Play Havoc with Power lines

THUNDER BAY – Tuesday’s high winds have made the rain squalls especially difficult to navagate today. The high winds are a factor in a number of traffic related issues today. Drivers and pedestrians are advised to use caution. Balmoral Street has been closed between Oliver Road and Beverly Street due to downed power lines.

Power outages have impacted several businesses in the city which have had to close due to the downed power lines.

Residents are reminded to stay clear of any downed lines. Drivers are reminded that intersections with inoperable traffic lights should be used in the same manner as a 4-way stop.
