Kenora OPP say foul play cannot be ruled out; Criminal Investigation Branch now leading case

KENORA, ON — October 30, 2025 — The Kenora Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is asking for the public’s assistance to locate Mekhi SCOTT, also known as Mekhi PELLY, 21. He was reported missing on Sunday, October 26, 2025. Investigators believe he was last seen in Kenora sometime between Friday, October 10 and Sunday, October 12, 2025.

  • Age: 21

  • Height: 6’2″ (189 cm)

  • Build: Medium

  • Hair: Black

  • Eyes: Brown

  • Distinctive Tattoos:

    • Fingers: Smiley face and a cross

    • Left hand: Butterfly

    • Right thigh: Tic-tac-toe

Investigation Update

The OPP Criminal Investigation Branch (CIB) is now overseeing the investigation with the Kenora OPP Crime Unit. Foul play cannot be ruled out at this time.
