THUNDER BAY, Ont. — Nov. 3, 2026 – Weather – Northwestern Ontario remains divided between improving weather in the west and another round of rain farther east, with fog, ponding and gusty north-to-northeast winds posing the main travel concerns through Wednesday.

Wardrobe
Use waterproof footwear and a rain shell through Wednesday, especially from Armstrong to Nipigon. Drivers should keep an extra dry layer in the vehicle. Add gloves and a warmer layer Thursday as temperatures drop and rain may mix with snow.
Weather trivia
Fog forms when air cools to its dew point and water vapour condenses into tiny suspended droplets. That is why visibility can stay poor even after steady rain ends.
