Pedestrian Seriously Injured in Train Incident Near Water Street

THUNDER BAY — Thunder Bay Police Service (TBPS) Primary Response officers responded to the Water Street area shortly after 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 9 following an incident involving a pedestrian and a train.

An adult male was transported to hospital with serious injuries.

There was a visible police presence and possible traffic disruptions in the area while officers and the Forensic Identification Unit conducted their investigation.

Police have since cleared the scene.

The investigation is ongoing, and no further information is available at this time.

Anyone who was in the area around the time of the incident and may have witnessed it is asked to contact TBPS.
