Thunder Bay Police were called to the area of Ontario Street and Second Avenue on the afternoon of Saturday, May 24, after a series of collisions involving an erratically operated vehicle.

Shed, Parked Car Struck Before Rollover

Police say the vehicle first crashed into a tarped shed, causing major damage, before reversing at high speed and striking a parked car. The force of the crash caused the vehicle to flip onto its side, requiring Thunder Bay Fire Rescue to extricate the driver.

Signs of Impairment Lead to Arrest

Officers observed signs of impairment in the driver and arrested her at the scene. A 29-year-old woman has since been charged with Impaired Operation of a Motor Vehicle and Dangerous Driving. She was later released from custody and is scheduled to appear in court at a future date.
