Deer Antlers and Taxidermy Owl Among Stolen Items in Early Morning Theft

SHABAQUA – CRIME BLOTTER – Members of the Shabaqua detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are investigating a break and enter at the Beaver Post Trading Post, located along Highway 17 in the Township of Savanne.

Police were dispatched to the scene on April 22, 2025, following reports that a break-in had occurred between 2:00 a.m. and 2:30 a.m. on April 18, 2025. Entry was forcibly gained, and a number of items were stolen — notably deer antlers and a taxidermized owl.

OPP are seeking assistance from the public.
