FREDERICTON, New Brunswick – We’re back on the green after a weather delay, folks! The second round of the Explore NB Open has been paused due to unplayable conditions and will resume Sunday morning at 6:45 a.m. AT. Ian Holt is currently leading at 17-under with just one hole left to play in the second round. Right behind him is rookie John Keefer, trailing by only two strokes at 15-under. We have a three-way tie for third place with Evan Brown, Patrick Flavin, and Clay Feagler all sitting at 14-under.

Holt has pulled ahead after a thrilling finish on Friday, breaking away from a five-way tie. This marks Holt’s third consecutive start on PGA TOUR Americas, earning his spot in the North America Swing through Monday Qualifying. The 28-year-old secured his place in the Explore NB Open with back-to-back top-25 finishes at The Beachlands Victoria Open presented by Times Colonist and the ATB Classic. This is Holt’s second 36-hole lead/co-lead in his career, with his previous lead being at the 2022 ATB Classic on PGA TOUR Canada, where he finished tied for 15th.

Holt turned professional in 2018 after graduating from Kent State University. During his collegiate career, he earned three individual victories and notable accolades, including 2018 All-America Second Team honors and back-to-back Mid-American Conference Golfer of the Year awards. His professional journey saw him on PGA TOUR Canada for four seasons, finishing No. 10 in the Fortinet Cup in 2022, and participating in 16 events on the Korn Ferry Tour in 2023.

As per the PGA TOUR Americas Rule Committee, the second round will resume at 6:45 a.m. AT on Sunday. The third round is scheduled to begin at 8:15 a.m., running until 10:15 a.m. in groups of three off the Nos. 1 and 10 tees. Final round tee times will follow the conclusion of round three play.
