Fog advisory in effect for:

  • Marathon – Schreiber

Near zero visibility in fog is expected or occurring.

Areas of near zero visibility in fog are expected near the shores of Lake Superior this evening. Fog may persist overnight into Friday morning in some areas.

Heat Warnings in effect across the west of Canada have moved into Saskatchewan.

Thunder Bay

It is 15 this morning at 6:00 am with winds from the WSW at 14 km/h. Humidity is at 85%.

Expect clouds with a 30% potential for rain this morning. Winds will pick up to 20 km/h from the northwest today.

High 26. Humidex 30. UV index 5 or moderate.

Skies will be clearing late this evening. Winds will be from the west at 20 km/h before becoming light late this evening. Low overnight of 11.

For Saturday expect clear skies and a daytime high of 31 with the Humidex at 35.

Sioux Lookout

It is 14 this morning at 5:00 am CDT in Sioux Lookout. Winds are NNW at 12 km/h and the humidity is at 88%.

Skies are cloudy with a 30% possibility of rain showers this morning. Fog is present but will burn off later this morning. Winds will become westerly at 20 km/h later this afternoon.

High 24. Humidex 27. UV index 5 or moderate.

For the evening, skies will be clear. Winds will continue at 20 km/h before becoming light later in the evening. Overnight low of 14.

Looking forward to Saturday, the forecast is for clear sunny skies with a high of 29 and the humidex at 32.

Fort Frances

It is 11 in Fort Frances under cloudy skies this morning at 5:00 am CDT. Skies are cloudy and fog patches are present but will burn off later this morning.

This evening will see clear skies with an overnight low of 12.

For Saturday expect clear skies and a high of 30 with the Humidex at 33.

Dryden and Vermilion Bay

It is 12 in Dryden at the airport. Winds are from the west at 9 km/h. Humidity is at 97%.

Skies are cloudy and include a 30% possibility of rain showers. There are fog patches which will be dissipating this morning. Winds will be from the northwest at 20 km/h.

High 24. Humidex 27. UV index 5 or moderate.

For Friday night skies will clear. Winds will lighten up later this evening. The low overnight will be 13.

For Saturday the high will be 28 under clear skies with the Humidex at 31.

Peawanuck

Peawanuck at 8 is Ontario’s cold spot this morning. Winds are 13 from the NNW. Humidity is at 99%.

Cloudy skies along with a 30% chance of drizzle this morning. Skies will become a mix of sun and cloud this afternoon.

Fog patches will be dissipating this morning. Winds will be from the north at 30 km/h becoming light this morning. Wind becoming northwest 30 this afternoon.
