Highway 17 Re-Opened with Pilot Vehicle

VERMILION BAY – ROADS Update – The Trans-Canada Highway is open again at Vermilion Bay.

The MTO has a pilot vehicle in place allowing alternating traffic to travel through the section of the roadway with water over it.

For smaller vehicles, that reportedly isn’t possible yet.

It is difficult to predict how the roadway will fare over the next two days with Heavy Rainfall Warnings in place.
