Fatal MV Collision Claims Life of Jason Ramage of Thunder Bay

Atikokan – NEWS – Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Rainy River Detachment (Atikokan Satellite) is investigating a fatal single motor vehicle collision on Hematite Road in the Niobe Lake area.

Rainy River OPP were notified of a single motor vehicle collision and arrived at approximately 7:45 am on April 30, 2022. Atikokan Fire and Rescue and Rainy River District EMS were already on scene. Jason Ramage, a 39-year-old from Thunder Bay was pronounced deceased.

The collision appears to have occurred sometime between 7:00 pm on April 29, 2022 to 7:00 am on April 30, 2022. The investigation continues with assistance from the OPP Technical Collision Investigators (TCI) and Reconstructionist.
