Thirty-Two New Cases

Thunder Bay – COVID-19 Update – Thunder Bay District Health Unit (TBDHU) is reporting 32 (thirty-two) new COVID-19 cases in residents in the TBDHU Region.

The total number of current active cases is 170.

COVID-19 Numbers in Ontario

There are 2,093 cases of COVID-19 being reported in Ontario for January 28, 2021. This is an increase from the 1,670 on Wednesday as well as the 1,740 cases reported on Tuesday.

Across the province there are 1,358 people in hospital with COVID-19, and 276 of those individuals are on a ventilator.

There are currently 27,492 active cases in Ontario of the virus.

Today’s hot spots for the COVID-19 virus are Toronto with 700 new cases, 331 new cases in Peel Region, 228 in York Region, and 123 in Niagara.

31 of the 56 deaths occurred in residents of long-term care homes in Ontario.
