Kitchenuhmaykoosib Inninuwug First Nation Environment Canada has issued extreme cold warnings for Kitchenuhmaykoosib Inninuwug First Nation, Sachigo Lake, Bearskin Lake, and Kasabonica.

For KI, Environment Canada says the forecast is calling for winds up to 15 km/h. The high for Thursday will be minus 25. The wind chill is minus 49 this morning and forecast for minus 33 this afternoon.

Extreme Cold Warning in effect for:

  • Big Trout Lake – Kasabonika
  • Sachigo Lake – Bearskin Lake

Extreme cold wind chills of minus 45 and below.

Extreme cold wind chill values near minus 45 and below will continue for a few more hours this morning. After moderating this afternoon, the extremely cold wind chill values will redevelop tonight into Friday morning.
