Disturbance Leads to Drug Charges and Jail for Toronto Man

THUNDER BAY – A disturbance led to a Toronto area man being arrested and charged with drug-related offenses.

Thunder Bay Police Service officers with the Uniform Patrol Branch were dispatched to an apartment in the 200 block of Rowand Street just after 2:15 am EST on Thursday, January 2, 2020, following reports of a disturbance.

As a result of their investigation into the disturbance, police located a quantity of narcotics, paraphernalia consistent with drug trafficking, cash, and suspected stolen merchandise.

A male suspect was arrested at the scene and charged with drug-related offenses.

The narcotics seized are suspected to be Fentanyl and Crack Cocaine.

Delon JEMMOTT, 21, of Toronto, is charged with Possession of Cocaine for the Purpose of Trafficking, Possession of Fentanyl for the Purpose of Trafficking, Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000 and Obstruct Peace Officer.

He appeared in court Thursday and was remanded into custody with a future appearance date.
