Picton Car Fire Under Investigation


THUNDER BAY – A fire in the Windsor/Picton neighbourhood is under investigation.

Thunder Bay Fire Rescue report that at approximately 4:10 am Saturday morning firefighters responded to Picton Ave for a car fire next to a structure.

The flames from the vehicle involved had ignited the siding of the structure on fire prior to the arrival of firefighters.

The first arriving unit called for a second alarm.  For a total of 5 Pumpers and an aerial ladder.

The fire was quickly knocked down by the first arriving unit keeping the fire to the outside of the home.  No occupants were in the home at the time of the fire.
