Cummings Street Assault Leaves Man in Custody – Woman in Hospital

THUNDER BAY – Thunder Bay Police Service officers were dispatched to the 200 block of Cumming Street just before noon on Monday in response to reports of a stabbing that had just occurred.

When officers arrived they found that a 49-year-old male had assaulted a 38-year-old female. The woman was transported to the hospital where she is being treated for non-life threatening injuries.

The accused male, who is known to the victim, was quickly arrested by officers at the scene. He is expected to appear in court Tuesday.

The investigation into this incident is ongoing.
