THUNDER BAY – Rose N Crantz Roasting Co. is five years old. The small-batch coffee roasting business celebrated the milestone with clients and partners at its new Cumberland Street Roastery.

Having started small, the business has outgrown three previous roasters and has recently upgraded to a Probat roaster to serve its ever-expanding clientele.

“The past five years have seen significant growth for us,” tells Jamie Nichols, owner and roastmaster for RNCRC. “What began as a hobby turned into a business and now the company has established strong partnerships in our community and is able to give back in ways beyond just providing a source for excellent coffee.”

Rose N Crantz Roasting Co. employs 8 part-time staff, services over 10 local restaurants and cafes, and can be purchased by the bag at retail locations across the city.

“We believe everyone should ‘love the coffee you drink and drink the coffee you love’ and our partners help to make that happen”.

“We work closely with our clients to help them brew the best cup of coffee for their families, customers, and staff. Strong partnerships like these have supported us in our first five years and we look forward to many more to come.”

Ed. – There is a major difference in the taste and flavour of different coffees. Thunder Bay has become home to a number of local coffee shops and cafes that bring the real enhancement of coffee flavour to your cup of coffee.

Try them as an alternative to your typical stop, you will be pleasantly surprised.

In 2015 NetNewsLedger sat down with Jamie to discuss coffee.
