Thunder Bay – Day Starter – Good Morning Northwestern Ontario. It is Monday, April 9th, 2018. At 03:15 am EDT it is -9c in Thunder Bay. The temperature is forecast to finally poke its head up above the freezing mark today. The high in Thunder Bay should be, at least according to Environment Canada a “balmy” plus 2.

The weather service is predicting daytime highs through the week above freezing. If they are accurate, perhaps it means a return to spring.

Derek also advises that newly elected Progressive Conservative Leader Doug Ford will be in Thunder Bay on Tuesday night. Ford will be at the Finlandia Club for a campaign-style rally starting at 6:30 pm EDT. The doors open at 6:00.

Gas Up for Less

The price of a litre of gas is almost ten cents cheaper in Dryden than Thunder Bay. Fuel prices across the region range from $1.249 in Dryden, $1.24.4 at the Husky on Chipman Street in Kenora,  In Thunder Bay, the lowest price in the city is $1. at the Husky on 11-17. Inside the city gas prices have spiked. Prices range up to $1.359 across the city. Out on the Fort William First Nation, gas prices are at $1.134 at THP and K&A.
