Kenora Man Faces Sexual Assault Charges

KENORA – On March 23, 2017 the Kenora Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a sexual assault complaint. Police and members of the Kenora Crime Unit subsequently investigated the complaint.

On March 28, 2017, 30 year old, Travis BLACKJACK of Kenora was arrested and charged with the following offences under the Criminal Code:

  • Adult Invitation to Sexual Touching under the Age of 16, contrary to Section 152
  • Adult Luring a person Under 16 years of age by means of Telecommunication, Section 172.1(1)(b)
  • Adult Sexual Assault on a person under 16 years of age, Section 271
  • Adult Sexual Interference with a person under 16 years of age, Section 151

The accused will appear in court in Kenora on March 29, 2017 to answer to the charges.

The investigation is continuing.
