THUNDER BAY – NEWS – A false alarm call to police has led to charges.

The TBPS received an abandoned 911 call at 12:46PM EST today. On call back they reached a male who asked for urgent help at a Bruce Street residence. When police officers arrived at the scene, they located the male complainant who stated his sister was inside with four males and one had a knife.

Multiple officers from Uniform Patrol and the Emergency Task Unit were dispatched to the residence and contained the home. A female was observed inside the home and attempts were made to have her to exit the building.

She was not cooperative with officers.

The E.T.U. made a forced entry into the home and located the female. A search of the house did not reveal any other individuals in the residence. The follow up investigation resulted in the thirty-eight-year-old female being arrested for outstanding warrants for Breach of Probation.

The thirty-four-year-old male complainant has been charged with Public Mischief as the information he provide to the 911 operators and officers was false.

Both individuals remain in police custody and will appear in court in the morning.
