Environment Canada says that hazardous winter conditions are expected.
A total of 20 to 40 cm of snow and blowing snow are expected.
Snow continues tonight with some areas already receiving in excess of 30 cm as of 1 AM EST. Most regions will receive total accumulations of 20 to 40 cm of snow by Saturday morning with the highest amounts expected west of Thunder Bay.
In addition, strong and gusty northerly winds will generate blowing snow reducing visibilities.
Hazardous winter driving conditions are expected to continue before gradually starting to improve towards Saturday morning.
Rapidly accumulating snow could make travel difficult over some locations. Visibility may be suddenly reduced at times in heavy snow. Take extra care when walking or driving in affected areas.
