WUNNIMIN LAKE – Nishnawbe-Aski Police Service North West Region Crime Unit is seeking assistance for the community of Wunnumin Lake First Nation in identifying the person or persons responsible for a rash of break and enters in the community.

On May 26, 2016, in the early morning hours, a male entered the nursing station residence through a window. The male was scared off by a lone female occupant. The male is described as being aboriginal, in his early 20’s, dressed all in black.

On May 31,2016, in the early morning hours, a male entered a teacher’s residence. The male was scared off by a lone female occupant. The male is described as being aboriginal, dressed all in black.

Nishnawbe-Aski Police would like to issue a public safety warning to all community members to lock their doors, windows, leave lights on and never hesitate to notify police of any suspicious person(s) around their residence.
