Dense Fog Reported Across Northwestern Ontario

THUNDER BAY – Travel to the west of Thunder Bay could be impacted by foggy conditions. Highway travel as well as air travel could be affected. Environment Canada has issued a fog advisory for a number of communities.

Fog Advisory in effect for:

Dryden – Vermilion Bay
Ignace – English River
Sioux Lookout
Ear Falls – Perrault Falls – Western Lac Seul
Red Lake – Woodland Caribou Park
Fort Frances – Emo – Rainy River
Seine River Village – Mine Centre
Kenora – Grassy Narrows – Whitedog
Sioux Narrows – Nestor Falls – Morson

Near zero visibility in fog is expected or occurring.

Dense fog has developed and is expected to continue early this morning. Visibilities will be near zero and will improve later in the morning as the fog dissipates.

Visibility may be significantly and suddenly reduced to near zero. Travel is expected to be hazardous due to reduced visibility.
