THUNDER BAY – “Hunger and poverty aren’t seasonal, and during the summer months we find ourselves with far less food to make healthy and nutritious meals,” states Shelter House Executive Director Patty Hadju.

Shelter House has put out the call for donations of food. Shelter House feeds hundreds of people per day from across Thunder Bay. For those in need, empty shelves would mean no food, no meals and no options.

Shelter House needs pasta, spaghetti sauce, jams, soups, in particular mushroom soup, diced tomatoes, sugar, ketchup, mustard, oil, beans, and other items.

The call for donations is to help by dropping them off at 400 George Street where they will be greatly appreciated.
